Five Things Most Vets Don't Tell Us

My mission is to provide you with critical information you won’t see in commercials and huge posters at places like Petco and PetSmart or at your Veterinarians office. Yet the information provided can help you make the best choices for your dog and will absolutely keep them healthier.

Most Veterinarians choose the profession because they want to help pets. However, the curriculum offered by Veterinarian Colleges tends to focus on fixing problems rather than prevention of conditions and disease.

Personally, veterinarians are my heroes. Even so, that does not mean they are perfect and many often overlook basic common sense and logic when it comes to nutrition and prevention of disease in dogs. Veterinarian medicine is a business and preventing illness in animals is not the main goal.

Don't Give Your Dog Tap Water

Because 98% of municipal water supplies contain Fluoride, Chlorine, and both are toxic to your dog.

Brush Your Dog's Teeth Regularly

Tartar buildup, gingivitis or gum disease and other conditions that can lead to life-threatening illnesses such as organ failure and heart disease if left untreated. The bacteria from plaque travels to your dogs stomach and then to the blood stream where it is distributed to all the organs.

Why CoQ10 is so important for Senior Dogs

Coenzyme Q10 is antioxidant supplement used for the cardiovascular system for dogs and cats of 6 years or older. Coenzyme Q10 is a compound that is made naturally in the body. The body uses it for cell growth and to protect cells from damage. Dogs and people stop making CoQ10 as we get older.

Vaccinations

Over vaccinating dogs is more harmful than helpful. Read what Perdue University School of Veterinary Medicine says after a long study.
